About Me
My name is Victoria Wiley and I’m a 2020 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies, and a minor in Drama (3.71 GPA), including being a recipient of Magna Cum Laude . I came from a performing arts background since I attended the Performing & Visual Arts at Weaver Academy and trained with the faculty of UNCG Theatre department.
I have interpersonal skills, talents, and 11 years of acting experience, including over 4 years of experience in Media, Communications, Broadcast News Writing, Radio/TV Announcing, and Theatre. In the past 3 years, I served as an Administrative and Database Coordinator at ArtsGreensboro, 4th Grade Elementary Teacher at Rankin, and an Executive Assistant for TAB Arts Center Non Profit; enhancing my administrative and interpersonal skills. I have the diligence, determination, and perseverance to reach my educational goals.
Over several years, I have participated in the production of V-Monologues at UNCG, which is a play about feminism and women empowerment that takes real life stories of women and transforms them into monologues. Using the skills I've developed over the years improved my performance immensely. I love scholarship and giving back to the community. Being able to serve the community, while doing something that I am very passionate about has been a life-long dream of mine! I want to achieve my goal of becoming a African-American woman trailblazer, and leave a legacy for future generations to follow !
About My
Platform
My platform is “Youth Arts for All”. Youth stands for Young, Outstanding, Uniquely, Talented, Heroes! My goal is to teach ALL children and adolescents about the importance of Performing Arts Education. I want to support young students by developing their creative minds and giving them the outlet and freedom to express themselves and follow their dreams, especially those who feel overlooked, such as the minority community. I believe all youth should be heard and seen in every setting. No child should feel neglected because of their desire to be an artist today!
